Addison is officially 8 months now. I don't think she has changed all that much in the past month. She still is not crawling, but when she is on her belly she can now raise her bottom up off the floor. She has not a single tooth. She of course is a drool monster, we go through about 10 bibs a day I swear, and her gums don't look like anything is even close to pushing through. So we will enjoy that adorable gummy grin for a little while still. She LOVES to stand. As long as you are right next to her she will stand up next to her learning table or the furniture and play. And of course anything and everything goes into her mouth. This is becoming a trial with Payton and some of her toys. I wouldn't want drool all over my stuff either! We are really trying to play with Payton's stuff more in her room now. It will make it safer for Addie once she is mobile. Addison is getting good with her pincher grasp. She can get those little puffs/cheerios right into her mouth, then she doesn't realize that she has to let them go... hence a big gooey mess! We did try some small banana pieces. Still a work in progress.
Payton is turning 3 next weekend. Where did that go?! We are having a party for her with the family and several of her little friends from the neighborhood and school. We are going to have 8 little girls and 2 boys. Payton told me exactly who to invite. She is so funny. Last weekend Payton and I went to the mall with her friend Ava and her mom. We had so much fun shopping with the girls. It was nice to tag team so we could actually get some shopping done, all in the kids stores of course. Payton is officially/completely potty trained. She tells us when she has to go, and will go all by herself when we are in the middle of something. She still wears a pull up at night, but she is almost always dry in the morning. It is SO nice. Last Friday Payton went to an elk farm/pumpkin patch with her class. She came home with her own little pumpkin, which she carries around the house. We had a parent/teacher conference last week with her pre-school teacher and she was telling us that Payton is really into imaginative play right now. Apparently she is ALWAYS the mommy during play. Wonder where she gets that? She is doing great with her new classroom, she moved up in September, and we sent a pillow for Payton to sleep on during nap for the first time a couple of weeks ago... she is very protective of it. She gets mad they told us when anyone even touches it. She loves her pillow. Don't know why I didn't send one sooner.
Well, that is all for now. My parents and my sister Nicole and her family are all coming for Payton's birthday next weekend. I am sure I will have an even longer post after that!
